Location

Tokyo is located on the eastern side of the island Honshu. The population of the main area of Tokyo is 8 million and in the other areas surrounding Tokyo there is another 4 million people. In the so called prefecture there is over 12million people. In total Tokyo and surrounding areas there is more than 35 million.

Tokyo Climate

Tokyo lies in an area called the humid sub- tropical zone. In this zone they experience hot, humid summers and mild winters. The summer are the wet season and the winter is in the dry season. Tokyo was very little snowfall even though it happens anually. Another thing Tokyo experiences is earthquakes. They have experienced them in1703, 1782, 1812, 1855 and 1923. The worst one occured in 1923 killing 142,000 people with an estimated magnitude of 8.3.

In Japan 95% of all middle schools are publically owned. But in High School there is compitition between different schools for kids. So some parents have to pay ridiculous amouts to go to the school of choice. The students in Japan have the highest educational standards in the world. In every school it is required for the students to wear uniforms. And to move on to a new grade level in Japan you have to take an entrance exam.

food

the Main food in Japan is Rice, Noodles, and Bread and many different vegetables. they always serve soy sause with all there meals. When serving food it is always served family style. And whatever you are served you must eat that item. And in Japan every time you take a drink of alchol you must toast to drink.

tokyo bridge


Tokyo Bridge is a 1870 ft. suspension bridge that connects the Shibaura Wharf and the Odaiba waterfront . The reason that is called the Rainbow Bridge is because at night it lights up with rainbow colors.
